The standard parts like nuts, bolts, and rivets, are normally not sectioned within a view of an assembly. Therefore, these parts, or the individual views of these parts, can be secured from sectioning. A secured part remains whole in the section views. For more information, see

To secure a standard part,
1. In Creo Elements/Direct Annotation, click Part Library and then, in the Catalog group, click Protect. The Secure part group dialog box opens.
2. Click View and select the section view from the viewport.
3. Select the standard parts to secure. You can also click Don’t section all parts to secure all the standard parts.
To unsecure all the standard parts from sectioning, click Section all parts.
4. Click .
5. Update the section view to see the changes. For more information, see
