Define a mounting situation
You can define a mounting coordinate system for easy positioning of parts and assemblies. To define each mounting coordinate (the coordinated of the new position) you must create a workplane. All such workplanes must be defined in a workplane set.
Defining a mounting situation,
1. Click Part Library and then, in the Catalog group, click the arrow next to More.
2. Click New in the Mounting Situation section. The Define Mounting dialog box opens.
3. Click Part-Ass and select a part or an assembly.
4. Click WP-Set and select the workplane set.
5. Click Keep, to retain the workplane set.
6. Click OK to complete the operation.
To check the mounting situation,
You can confirm the mounting situation by viewing the workplane that define the mounting coordinate.
1. Click Part Library and then, in the Catalog group, click the arrow next to More.
2. Click Workplane Set in the Mounting Situation section. The Mounting sit.->WP-Set dialog box opens.
3. Click Part-Ass and select the part or the assembly for which you wish to check the mounting situation.
4. Click OK to complete the operation. The workplane set used in the mounting situation is displayed.
