Click Mold Base and then, in the Setup group, click Plate Rules. The Plates Size Rules dialog box opens.
The plate size rules define the automatic mold estimation algorithm. Use the See Params to show the meaning of the parameters.
The parameters are defaulted to the system values, unless the user saves a new set of defaults.
The Creo Elements/Direct Mold Base module uses the size of the selected parts in the setup step in combination with the plate rules to suggest the size for a mold in the mold creation dialog box.
Top Dimensions
T1: Margin of the plate from the insert(s) in the plate U (length) direction.
T2: Margin of the plate from the insert(s) in the plate V (width) direction.
Plate Thickness
S1: Margin of the plate2 above the cavity insert(s)
S2: Margin of the plate3 below the core insert(s).
S3: The stroke of the ejector plates.
Save: This allows the user to save the current values as the new system defaults. Is active only if user has administrator privileges.
