File structure
1. A component file is a pkg file that contains an assembly, with some parts. Only one specific configuration (size) can be stored in an assembly, so that for each different component configuration a different assembly (and registration) must be created. (See \UserLib2\HotRunners\HZL\HZL_001.pkg)
2. Parts in this assembly suffixed by _T are cutting tools to create the pocket for the component. Parts that are not suffixed by _T are parts of the component.
Example of component file structure (HZL_001.pkg).
Component - Hot Runner Nozzle
Cutting tool
Component - Slide Mechanism
Cutting tool - Notes
1. A user component assembly does not have to contain a cutting tool. In this case no holes will be made in the plates.
2. A user component assembly does not have to contain a component (i.e. only parts suffixed by _T). In this case only the holes are created and no components are added.
3. The reference coordinate system is the WCS - World Coordinate System of the root. When selecting a start face, in the Add User Component function, the Z axis of the component reference coordinate system defaults to the face normal.
