Creo Elements/Direct Cabling Tutorial 7: Define a new connector
In this tutorial, you will learn how to define a new connector based on a model that you create or receive from a supplier.
The benefits of defining a connector with the module include:
• Wire ends automatically connect to pins.
• Reports and manufacturing drawings generate correctly.
• Connections can be automatically made with input from ECAD files.
If you do not define a connector in the Creo Elements/Direct Cabling module, the pins will not be recognized and you will not receive correct reports or manufacturing drawings even if you connect the end points of your wires to the exact centers of connector pins.
