Creo Elements/Direct Cabling Tutorial 10: Step 2 of 2
Load a CCF
To use a custom CCF, you must load it in Creo Elements/Direct Modeling's Creo Elements/Direct Cabling module. Try this using My_library.zip. Extract the contents of this ZIP file to Creo Elements/Direct Cabling's personality directory. A typical path to this directory is C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo Elements\Direct Modeling [version]\personality\cabling.
To load a CCF,
1. Click Interface and then, in the Library group, click the arrow next to Set.
2. Click Set current connector library. The Select Current Library dialog box opens.
3. Click Select File.
4. Navigate to my_library.ccf and click OK.
5. The My Library dialog box opens. It behaves in the manner defined by the my_library.ccf script:
*
If you receive an error after selecting my_library.ccf, you may need to edit the Shortcut path in my_library.ccf to properly reflect the Creo Elements/Direct Modeling installation directory.
You do not need to reselect the CCF file during the remainder of your session.
To run the custom library again,
1. Click Interface and then, in the Library group, click the arrow next to Call.
2. Click Call connector library. The Cabling Electrical Library dialog box opens.
3. Select a part from the Cabling Electrical Library dialog box.
*
You cannot load an assembly.
