A virtual guide may contain channel edges from different harness assemblies. If you move the guide, Cabling must determine which channel edges are inside the virtual guide. To do this, Cabling must check edges of all channel parts in all harness assemblies in the work space. If you have thousands of parts in your work space, it may take some time to detect harness assemblies. The default is to search from the top. However, you can set a specific search path to accelerate the search.
To set a search path,
1. Click Spline Channel and then, in the Channel group, click Create. The Spline Channel Editor dialog box opens.
2. Click the Settings tab.
3. Click to set the search path to the top-level directory in your workspace. All harness assemblies are searched. This is the default.
4. Click and select a specific harness assembly as a search path.
5. Click to delete an assembly from the search list.
