Create 2D geometry
1. Click Spline Channel and then, in the Channel group, click Create. The Spline Channel Editor dialog box opens.
2. Click the Misc tab. You can use the 2D Geometry section to create 2D geometry and construction lines on workplanes.
*
You must have an active workplane to create 2D geometry.
3. Click and select start and end points on the workplane to draw a line between the two points.
4. Click , select a start point, specify an angle (with respect to the horizontal axis) in the user input line, and specify a length to draw a line at the point.
5. Click and select a 3D edge of a part to project the geometry of the edge onto the active workplane as construction geometry.
6. Click and select a point on the workplane to draw a horizontal construction line through the point.
7. Click and select a point on the workplane to draw a vertical construction line through the point.
8. Click , specify an offset distance in the user input line, select a line, and specify the side to draw a construction line which is parallel to the selected line on the specified side and at the specified offset.
9. Click , select a line, and specify a position point to draw a construction line which is perpendicular to the selected line and passes through the point.
10. Click , select the first point, and select the second point to draw a construction line at the midpoint of and perpendicular to the two points.
