Change the settings of existing docuplanes
The appearance and behavior of existing docuplanes can be changed in a settings menu. The active docuplane is selected by default, and its current parameters are displayed in the menu, but you can select any other docuplane.
To change the settings of an existing docuplane,
1. Click 3D Documentation and then, in the Setup group, click the arrow next to More.
2. Click Docuplane under Properties. The Docuplane Properties dialog box opens.
3. Select a Docuplane to modify: click on it in the viewport or select it in the browser.
*
Changes you make to any docuplane belonging to a multi-section affect each of the multi-section's docuplanes.
4. Change any of the following parameters:
Name: The name of the docuplane.
Rot Angle: Rotate the docuplane by entering a rotation angle about the docuplane's origin. A rotation is measured relative to the docuplane's current position.
Front Border and Back Border colors: The colors used to draw the docuplane as seen from the front and from the back of it. Note that this setting applies to the docuplane when it is not the active docuplane; the active docuplane takes the default active workplane colors (green by default). Specify a different color with the Color Selector tool.
Border Type: The docuplane can be outlined with a border (the default Outline type) or can be filled in entirely with the Full option. You can also choose to make the docuplane invisible by clearing the Border visible check box.
Grid: You can display a Line or Dot grid on docuplanes. The Width and Height options allow you to specify the distance between grid lines or dots.
Axis: By default, the u-v-w axis is shown on docuplanes, but you can click Hide Axis to stop the display of the axis. Show Axis displays the axis once again.
5. Continue changing settings, or click to accept the changes and complete the operation.
