You can change the position of an existing view, either on the same sheet or onto another sheet. Moving a view also moves additional geometry and sketches owned by the view.
To move views,
To move a single view, click the border of the view and drag it to a new position.
To move multiple views, select the views you wish to move and drag them as a group to a new position.
To move a view to a different sheet,
You also have the option to move the view to a different sheet. Enter the number of the new sheet in the Target Sheet data entry field. To place the view in the same position on the target sheet as it was on the source sheet, click Same Pos on Target Sheet.
A moved view retains its scale factor, regardless of the default scale factor of the target sheet. If the scale of the view differs from the sheet default factor, the view label indicates this.
If you are accustomed to our earlier versions, you can still use the original menus.
To move a view using the Move menu,
1. Click Annotation and then, in the Setup group, click More.
2. Click Move in the View section. The Move View dialog box opens.
3. Specify the view to be moved in one of the following ways:
◦ Enter the name and path of the view in the View box.
◦ Click the view in the Creo Elements/Direct Annotation Viewport.
◦ Select the view in the Drawing Browser.
The view is replaced by a box attached to the cursor, and the move operation begins in Dynamic mode.
4. In Dynamic mode, specify the destination point for the view in one of the following ways:
◦ Click the position in the viewport.
◦ Enter coordinates for the point in the user input line.
5. Continue specifying views to move, or click to complete the operation.
To move a view using right-click options (context menu),
1. Click Annotation and then, in the Setup group, click More.
2. Click Move in the View section. The Move View dialog box opens.
3. Right-click and choose an option:
Two Pts
Specify two points (by clicking or with coordinates) to define a distance and direction to move the view.
Horizontal
Enter a horizontal offset in the user input line, or specify two points (by clicking or with coordinates) to define a horizontal distance and direction to move the view.
Vertical
Enter a vertical offset in the user input line, or specify two points (by clicking or with coordinates) to define a vertical distance and direction to move the view.
Click Cancel during the move operation to abort it and leave the view in its original position.
To move multiple views,
A number of views can be moved in the same defined way. You first define the move direction and distance, and then specify the views to move:
1. Click Annotation and then, in the Setup group, click More.
2. Click Move in the View section. The Move View dialog box opens.
3. Right-click in the viewport and click either Two Pts, Horizontal, or Vertical in the context menu.
4. Define a distance and direction in the viewport for the move for the selected option. This is the same as described in the preceding procedure.
5. Click a view to move.
6. Continue clicking views to move, or click to end the operation.
