Creo Elements/Direct Sheet Metal derives the bend radius annotation in the flat from the tool radius data rather than from the part geometry. This capability provides significant advantages in multiple-shop production scenarios where the same tool geometry may produce slightly different bend radii.
To attach the underlying tool information to bends produced in earlier versions of Creo Elements/Direct Sheet Metal,
1. Load the sheet metal part to be updated.
2. Click Modify Sheet in the Creo Elements/Direct Sheet Metal main menu.
3. Click BendUpdate in Attach. Creo Elements/Direct Sheet Metal displays the Update Bends menu with the active part displayed in the Sheet Part field.
4. If necessary, click Sheet Part and specify a different sheet metal part to update.
5. Click Bends and click the bends to update. Use the Select tool to update multiple bends.
