Attaching bends
Every sheet metal part designed with Creo Elements/Direct Sheet Metal has bend attributes which define the chosen bend processes. The unfold calculations are based on this information.
Sheet metal parts that were not designed with Creo Elements/Direct Sheet Metal, but imported from other systems, do not have this information. Creo Elements/Direct Sheet Metal allows you to attach bend attributes to imported sheet metal parts.
To allow an Unfold, you do not need to attach a bend attribute. When unfolding you can also specify a default radius for all sharp edges.
*
You cannot change the bend attribute of a Creo Elements/Direct Sheet Metal bend with this dialog. To change the bend process use Modify Bend.
To attach a bend process attribute to a sheet metal part,
1. Click Sheet Metal and then, in the Attach group, click Bend. The Attach Bend dialog box opens.
2. Click a cylindrical or conical face to which you want to attach a bend process. Use Select to specify a list of faces.
3. Click a bend process in the Process box.
4. Click to complete the operation.
