When a relation set is solved, all the active relation definitions in the relation set are evaluated against the relation rules and then applied to the components in the assembly.
To solve a relation set,
• Click Relations and then, in the Solving group, click Update when you create or modify a relation. The relation set is updated when you complete the operation.
You can set the default for the Update option in the Create and Modify relations dialogs. Please read

When the Advanced Assembly module is active, the Position menus include the button Update Relations. Click this button on to update relations following a repositioning operation. If the button is off, relations with the status solved become unsolved.
When the Parametric module is active, some Modify 3D commands include the button Update Relations. Click this button on to update relations following a modeling operation. If the button is off, relations with the status solved become unsolved.
Relations on patterns might not be updated immediately. In this case, an additional update is necessary.
Update when you create or modify a relation. The relation set is updated when you complete the operation.
