The Relation Details Browser
Relation sets and relations are shown in the Structure Browser. Details about relations (for example, the type, value, and status) are listed in the Relation Detail Browser.
To display the Relation Detail Browser,
1. Click Relations and then, in the Relations Mode group, click Assembly or Parametrics.
2. Click Relations and then, in the Tools group, click Browser. The Relation Detail Browser table opens.
3. To dock the Relation Detail Browser in the Structure Browser panel, right-click in the Relation Detail Browser, then click Docked.
Creo Elements/Direct Modeling displays the Relation Detail Browser which lists details of all the relations available within a relation set. For each relation, the following information is displayed:
Name — The name of the relation.
Type — The type of relation, for example, Distance, Coincident, Fixed, Variable, Measure.
Status — The status of the relation after the relation set was last solved. Valid states are:
Unsolved: The relation set has not been solved since the relation was defined or a reference element was changed.
Ok: Solved successfully. The relation definition was verified successfully when the relation set was last solved. This can apply both for underconstrained and fully constrained systems, since underconstraint is not indicated specifically.
Overconstrained: — All degrees of freedom in the system have been constrained and at least one has been constrained twice.
Inconsistent: There is a conflict between at least two relation definitions; it is impossible for them to be applied concurrently.
Incomplete: One of the reference elements in a relation definition has been deleted since the relation was created.
Confined: The reference elements specified for a value or logical relation are within objects associated with a fixed or rigid relation. The confined relation is automatically disabled by the system.
Value - The value assigned for a value relation (this is the value used as the start value, if the Animate facility is used).
Expression - The expression assigned for a value relation (the result is shown in Value column).
Generally, the Relation Detail browser includes options and filters as with other Creo Elements/Direct Modeling browsers (see Using the Structure Browser). In addition, the Filter pull-down menu lets you filter what is displayed in the Relation Detail browser. The filter options are
Labels switches on or off the relation labels in the viewport. This is to let you see all other relation labels even when the relation type is not displayed in the browser list.
Type controls the appearance of the types of relations in the browser. Simply switch on or off the check buttons as appropriate.
Status controls the appearance of relations in the browser with respect to their status. Simply switch on or off the check buttons as appropriate.
Activity controls the appearance of activated/non-activated relations in the browser. Simply switch on or off the check buttons as appropriate. Activated relations will be included the next time the relation set is solved. De-activated relations will not be included.
