Mark as a library element
Creo Elements/Direct Modeling allows you to assign library attributes to mark a part or an assembly as a library element.
To assign library attributes,
1. In Creo Elements/Direct Modeling, click Model Manager and then, in the Custom group, click Mark as Library Element. The Mark as Library Element dialog box opens.
*
By default, the Mark as Library Element button is not available on the Creo Elements/Direct Modeling ribbon. You can customize the ribbon to add the Mark as Library Element button to the Model Manager tab. For more information, see Customizing the Creo Elements/Direct Modeling Ribbon.
2. Click Object and select a part or an assembly in the Structure Browser or the viewport.
3. Specify a value in the Library ID box.
The Library ID is an ID that you can assign to a library part or model. The Library ID is assigned as a prefix to the part or model name that appears in the Name column in Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager.
4. In the DB Class Name box, select LIBRARY_3D or CORP_LIBRARY_3D. For more information on class names, see the Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager Customization guide.
5. Click to complete the operation. The selected object is now a library element and it appears locked in the Structure Browser.
