In Creo Elements/Direct Part Library 18.0 and higher, the customization changes for standard library parts are stored in an ascending order in the EXT and USR files located in <Creo Element/Direct Part Library installation location>sd_4\customizations\PartLibrary and not in the PAR file. Hence, if you migrate information from Creo Elements/Direct Part Library 18.0 to higher releases, you need not reapply the customization changes to the PAR file. However, the customization changes for standard library parts in Creo Elements/Direct Part Library 17.0 and earlier, are not compatible with Creo Elements/Direct Part Library 18.0 or higher.
To migrate the customization changes for standard library parts from releases before Creo Elements/Direct Part Library 18.0 , you may use the migration tool. For details, see Migration of information.
