BOM raster image
When you create BOM flags for a view, a BOM raster image is automatically created below the selected view in the viewport. By default, a BOM raster image is named BOM_raster and is rectangular in shape. Creo Elements/Direct Part Library 18.1 onward, you can create a circular and a polygon-shaped BOM raster image.
*
To create a BOM raster image of the desired shape, you must first change the default rectangular shape of the BOM raster image and then use the Automatic Pos. Flags command. For more information, see Generate BOM flags.
To create a circular raster,
1. In Creo Elements/Direct Annotation, click Part Library and then, in the Position Flag group, click the arrow next to Create.
2. Click Raster Circle. The Raster Circle dialog box opens.
3. Click Angle and type the angle between two raster points or click Distance and type the arc length between two raster points on the circle. Depending on the value, the center of the circle is automatically defined in the Center box.
4. In the Radius box, type a value or select two points in the viewport to define the radius of the raster circle.
5. Click to complete the operation.
To create a polygon raster,
1. In Creo Elements/Direct Annotation, click Part Library and then, in the Position Flag group, click the arrow next to Create.
2. Click Raster Polygon. The Raster Polygon dialog box opens.
3. In the Owner section, click View and select a view as the owner of the BOM raster image, or click Curr sheet to have the current sheet as the owner of the BOM raster image.
4. Click Distance and type the distance between two raster points on the polygon.
5. Click Point and select a start point in the viewport for the BOM raster.
6. Click Undo to undo the operation or click Next to create a raster polygon for another view.
7. Click to complete the operation.

If a BOM raster image exists for the selected view, additional BOM raster images cannot be created.
