Create a group
Standard parts are organized into groups, which are represented as icons in the library dialog. A group can contain other groups, parts, and parametric parts.
You should always add groups under the Company group. If you add them at the top level, you will lose your group when you upgrade Creo Elements/Direct Part Library.
To add a new group,
1. Click Part Library and then. in the Catalog group, click the arrow next to More.
2. Click Administration > Create Group. The Create new group dialog box opens.
3. Enter the following information:
Name: The name of the group. The name can only contain lower case letters, numbers, and underscores (_). This is displayed above the group icon in the library dialog.
Caption: The title of the group. This is displayed in the dialog title bar when you open the group in the library dialog.
Icons: The size in pixels of the icons displayed in this group in the library dialog.
Entries per line: The number of items displayed per row for this group in the library dialog.
Parent group: The parent group for this group.
Icon: The icon displayed in the library dialog for this group. Must be a .pm, .bmp, .tif, or .gif image file.
4. Click Create Group.
5. To see your group, click Part/Assembly in the Load section to open the library dialog.
