What Pre-check does
1. The number of nodes for all meshes are counted. For parts that have not yet been meshed, the number of nodes is estimated.
2. Based on the number of nodes, the analysis type and selected options the resource estimations are done.
3. The estimations are checked against the current settings and available resources.
H-Adaptivity
For H-adaptivity, the estimations for the initial analysis are the same as for a standard Linear Static analysis. For subsequent iterations, the mesh refinement and the resulting number of nodes is estimated, and based on that the resource estimations are done.
*
The refinement for H-adaptivity can only be an average value, and may vary considerably for the part being analyzed. This means estimations for H-adaptivity other than for the initial analysis are only rough, and get more inaccurate with each iteration. If problems are indicated, the analysis may still run successfully, particularly if not all specified iterations are necessary to fulfill the given error tolerance.
Limitations of Pre-Check
Pre-check is not available for p-elements
Estimations for H-adaptivity iterations are by nature only approximate
Pre-check is not available for Remote Solving
