Creo Elements/Direct Cabling Tutorial 9: Step 1 of 4
Create a workplane and define a cable pack
Define the size and pattern of the cable pack on workplane.
To define a cable pack,
1. In Creo Elements/Direct Modeling, create a new workplane.
2. Switch to Creo Elements/Direct Cabling, and create a new harness.
3. Click Interface and then, in the Library group, click More.
4. Click Cable Pack. The Cable Pack and Packed Cables dialog boxes open.
5. Define the offset between cables. Type 0.25 in the Offset box.
6. Select 4 from the Dia menu.
7. Place the wire or cable geometry:
a. Click Position.
b. Click in the workplane to place wires (or cables -- this is determined later) in the following arrangement. Depending on where you click in the workplane, they snap into place.
The Packed Cables dialog box keeps track of the diameter and quantity of cables or wires.
8. Click OK to complete the operation.
9. Click Applications and then, in the Base group, click Modeling to switch back to Creo Elements/Direct Modeling for the next portion of this tutorial.
