Create a harness assembly
Creo Elements/Direct Cabling creates parts in a harness assembly. Assemblies store all part and cabling information.
If you do not have a harness assembly and you try to open any menu except the Harness menu, you see a message as follows:
Cannot find active harness assembly.
Click OK and create one via the menu:
To create a harness assembly,
1. Click Cabling and then, in the Harness group, click New. The Create Harness dialog box opens.
2. Type Harness_1 in the Name box.
3. Click OK to complete the operation.
The new harness assembly displays in the Structure Browser. If you create a harness in the dialog, Creo Elements/Direct Cabling gives the harness a default name such as Harness_1. You can change its name in the Structure Browser just like a part or assembly.
