You can select the files from which Creo Elements/Direct Cabling draws its lists of wires and cables, and the locations of its library parts files.
Creo Elements/Direct Cabling can draw from one wire definition file and one cable definition file at a time, as well as one catalog configuration file (ccf) for connectors, one or terminals, and one for fixtures.
Creo Elements/Direct Cabling includes the following definitions files, which you can customize, edit, and add to:
• wire_definition.txt
• cable_definition.txt
• (3) catalog.ccf files (for connectors, fixtures, and terminals)
To define the location of wire and cable definition files,
1. Click File > Settings > Cabling.
2. Click Wire/Cable Library path or Part Library path.
◦ When choosing a part definition file (.ccf), click the Verbose check box to display details in the output window.
3. Click Select.
4. Find the definition file. A typical path to the default wire definitions, cable definitions, and part definitions files:
