Route cables manually by profile
With the Profile command, you can route cabling along either a workplane's 2D Geometry or a 3D curve.
To manually route cabling on workplane geometry,
1. Click Cabling and then, in the Manual Routing group, click Wire.
2. Click Profile Wire. The Create Cable dialog box opens.
3. Select a cable or wire.
4. Click Workplane and select the workplane containing the geometry along which you wish to route cabling.
Click In WP to place the cable directly in the workplane, or specify an Offset.
Click On Curve to route the cable on an existing 3D Curve.

You can use the Project Geometry command on the Structure tab, in the Workplane group in Creo Elements/Direct Modeling to project your parts' profile geometry to a workplane, along which you can then route cables
5. Click to complete the operation.
To manually route cabling on a 3D Curve,
1. Click Cabling and then, in the Manual Routing group, click Wire.
2. Click Profile Wire. The Create Cable dialog box opens.
3. Select a cable or wire.
4. Click 3D Curve and select the 3D Curve in the viewport.
5. Click to complete the operation.
