You can cut and unite segments of flat cable. This is helpful when you want to create or unite two contiguous flat cable objects in your harness assembly.
To cut a flat cable,
1. Click Cabling and then, in the Flatcable group, click the arrow next to Cut/Unite.
2. Click Cut flatcable. The Cut Flatcable dialog box opens.
3. Select the point on the flat cable's edge where you wish to cut.
4. Click to complete the operation.
To unite two flat cables,
1. Click Cabling and then, in the Flatcable group, click the arrow next to Cut/Unite.
2. Click Unite flatcable. The Unite Flatcables dialog box opens.
3. Select the Source flat cable. The new flat cable will retain the name of this flat cable.
4. Select the Tool flat cable. This flat cable is united with the source.
5. Click the Keep Tool check box if you wish to keep a copy of the tool flat cable in your harness assembly.
