Define connectors, terminals, housing, or clamps
You can model and define connectors, terminals, housing, or clamps. Freely customize and define, for example, the faces that make up a terminal, or a connector's pins.
Use the buttons under Interface > Library > Parts to define connector, terminal, and fixture elements.
You can save your own connectors, terminals, and fixtures to your local Creo Elements/Direct Cabling part libraries, or to Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager. You can load Creo Elements/Direct Cabling parts stored either in Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager or on your local drive via the Cabling's Library menu.
Whether you choose to load parts from local files or from Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager, when you define your own parts (connectors, terminals, or fixtures) you must edit the appropriate Catalog Configuration File (CCF).To learn more, explore Creo Elements/Direct Cabling Tutorial 10: Define connector libraries.
