Extended modules > Animation (Creo Elements/Direct Advanced Design) > Export an animation

Export an animation
1. Click Relations and, in the Animation group, click Play. The Play Animation dialog box opens.
2. Select an Animation in the Structure Browser.
3. Set the playback options. Please see Play an animation for more information.
4. In the Save AVI section, type or browse to set a File name.
5. Select a Screen Size.
6. Set the Frames/Sec.. 25 frames per second is the maximum most media players will accept; choose fewer frames per second only if you need to create a smaller file.
7. Select a Codec. If you are not familiar with AVI codecs, you should accept the default. See Add an AVI codec below for more information.
8. Set the Quality. You should accept the default value unless you are concerned about the size of the AVI file. If the AVI codec supports compression, higher compression may create a smaller file with lower quality. Higher quality will create an AVI file of larger size.
9. Click to save the AVI file.
Add an AVI codec
Several AVI codecs are defined in the customization file ani_customize, which is found in <installationdirectory>\personality\sd_customize\AdvAssembly_Parametrics. You may add a new codec to this file if desired. Please review the comments in the file for more information.
