Set exact coordinates for the axis of the holes
When you click on a face, Creo Elements/Direct Machining grabs this position and uses it to place the axis of the hole. However, this is not very accurate!
To position the machined hole precisely, use one of the following methods:
Click CenterPt and enter the real coordinates by catching, coordinate input, or measurement output.
Use the calculator
Measure Point 3D using the built-in the Calculator and store the X/Y/Z coordinates within the calculator registers. You can then re-use this coordinate by pressing the XYZ transfer button twice (first to transfer the coordinate as position for identifying the face and the second time to transfer the position for specifying the position).
Use Select
All methods of the selector which identify a face without actually selecting one (for example, By Edge, By Def Feat ) causes the selector to prompt for the position on that face as the selector is called in the Select+Position mode.
