What is the benefit of this enhancement?
You can predefine (constrain) the spline channel path by creating virtual pass guides, physical passing guides, or both. Then, you can simply create the channel by selecting the guides. Since there is an associativity between the guides and channel, you can modify the channel at any time by repositioning or stretching the guides. Next to the new spline-based channels, the classical type of polygon-based channels still exists.
