What is the benefit of this enhancement?
When loading drawing data, you can analyze the data before importing it. As a result of the analysis, you can optimize the import configuration from the Import Configurator dialog box. You can select the layer information and set controls to get the expected data in the first step. Fonts that are used in the drawing are marked in blue in the font list. With this information about the content of the data to import, it is easier to change the import configuration to optimize the import of DWG and DXF files.
There are different file types available when importing DWG and DXF-based drawings:
Import 2D to Workplane
Import 2D as a Sketch to an existing Drawing Frame
Import 2D as a Sketch to an existing Drawing Sheet
When selecting a DXF or DWG file in the Open dialog box, click DXFDWG Conf to open the Import Configurator dialog box.
If new fonts are detected when analyzing the drawing, they are added automatically to the list of fonts and mapped to the osd-default font. Further editing of font settings is possible.
