The work area (user interface) > Workplanes > Workplane sets > Position a workplane set

Position a workplane set
You can move workplane sets just like you move workplanes, parts, or assemblies. The workplane set position options are similar, with some specific methods just for workplane sets.
To position a workplane set,
1. Click Structure and then, in the Workplane group, click More.
2. Click WP Set under Workplane Sets.
3. Click Position. The Position WPSet dialog box opens.
4. Select the workplane set in the viewport or Structure Browser.
5. Select a method to position the workplane set:
Dyn Pos: Use the 3D CoPilot in the viewport and enter values in the dialog as desired.
Two Points: Select two points in the viewport. The first is the from point, and the second is the to point. The workplane set is moved so the from point is positioned over the to point. If you enter a Length, the workplane set is moved that distance from the first point toward the second point.
Other: Special positioning commands that you might find useful in certain conditions. Most of the commands are the same in Position a part, assembly, or workplane set, except Plane by 3 Points:
The first point defines the new origin of the workplane set.
The second point defines an imaginary line (from point 1 to point 2). The U axis lies on this line.
The third point defines an imaginary surface (points 1, 2, and 3). The V axis lies on this surface.
6. Some of the following options will be available, depending on the method you choose:
Length: The distance relative to the workplane set's current position.
Rot. Angle : The angle of rotation relative to the workplane set's current position.
Fix Dir/Axis: The fixed direction or axis. Only active when the Line/Axis, Plane, or Rotate methods are active.
Ref. Focus: Changes the type of geometric elements you can select for a reference point.
Values: Choose Relative or Absolute. Relative values are calculated from the workplane set's current position. This is useful when you position the workplane set in multiple steps. Absolute is calculated from the workplane set's original position (before you started the Position command).
7. Click OK to complete the operation.
