Example: Pulling a profile to a point (remove material)
In this example you will pull a profile (remove material) in the active workplane (w1) into part (1) to a point (3) located on the edge of the part. The profile is pulled into the target part until the pull direction is perpendicular to a line projected through the point. The figure below shows the original part and the part resulting from the pull operation.
After creating part 1, the workplane, and the profile:
1. Click Modeling and then, in the Model group, click the arrow next to Pull.
2. Click Pull Linear. The Pull dialog box opens.
3. In the Type box, select To Point click point 3, as shown in the figure. Creo Elements/Direct Modeling displays defined in the To Point box.
4. Define the pull direction by choosing the option in the Direction box that shows a feedback arrow pointing in the direction of the target part.
5. Clear Keep WP. Keep Prof is automatically disabled.
6. Click to complete the operation. Creo Elements/Direct Modeling pulls the profile (remove material) as shown in the figure.
