Example: Pulling several parts about an axis (remove material)
In this example you will pull the profile (remove material) about the axis defined by the two points 1 and 2. You will machine parts 3, 4, 5, and 6. Shown below are the workplane and profile, the parts, and the result.
After creating the workplane and profile:
1. Click Modeling and then, in the Model group, click the arrow next to Pull.
2. Click Pull Angular. The Pull dialog box opens.
3. Click Axis and specify the axis of rotation:
a. Click Two Points.
b. Click point 1 on the corner of part 3 to specify the FROM point.
c. Click point 2 on the corner of part 5 to specify the TO point. Creo Elements/Direct Modeling displays graphical feedback showing the axis direction and the direction of rotation.
4. Specify the parts to machine by clicking Parts and selecting the parts as follows:
a. Click Select in the main toolbar or press F2. The Select dialog box opens.
b. Click Start (in List).
c. Click parts 3, 4, 5, and 6 in the viewport.
d. Click End (in List.)
5. Creo Elements/Direct Modeling highlights the parts in the graphics area.
6. Click to complete the operation. Creo Elements/Direct Modeling pulls (remove material) the parts.
