1. Click File > Save. The Save file browser opens.
2. In File Type, select ACIS (SAT) (*.sat).
3. Click Options. The Save ACIS (SAT) dialog box opens.
The following options are available in the Save ACIS (SAT) options dialog box when you select the ACIS (SAT) format:
• Version: Select the file version you want to save.
• Tolerance: This is the coarsest resolution of all exported bodies. The coarsest value is 0.1 and the lower limit is the body resolution.
• Export Containers: Containers below parts and assemblies are exported. The container usually becomes an assembly, so parts saved in a container will be saved into the new assembly.
• Merge Faces: Executes a healing step to merge all faces. Sometimes it is necessary to have faces split at a seam to avoid cylindrical geometry when the target CAD system only supports planar topology.
• Statistics: The name and location for the
export log file. Leave this field blank if you don't want to save a log file.
