Save 2D Data Command
In Creo Elements/Direct Annotation, click File > Database. The Database dialog box opens. Click 2D Data in the Save section to store a drawing in MI format to the database. First click 2D Data in the Database and the WorkManager Desktop editor and the store options window pop-up. Select the correct destination class for the drawing and the desired store options (the class is sd_drawing).
The store dialog box provides the information about the status of related parts and document information in WorkManager.
No part relation
This message appears if the part or assembly belonging to the 2D drawing has no WorkManager part information (master data) assigned.
ME-Part <> current part in Editor or
Editor contains no part
This message appears if the part shown in the parts editor is not identical to the part information attached to the ME part or assembly of the selected drawing or the parts editor is empty.
The parts information can be transferred to the editor by clicking the [Use ME Part] button.
If the ME part information corresponds to the part displayed in the editor, the message ME part = current part in editor is displayed.
New SD Drawing
This message appears if this drawing has not previously been saved in the database.
SD-Drawing <> current document in Editor or
Editor contains no document
This message appears if the document shown in the document editor is not identical to the document information attached to the corresponding part or assembly for the selected drawing, or the document editor is empty. The document information can be transferred to the editor by clicking the [UseCreo Elements/Direct Modeling document] button.
If the SD-Drawing information corresponds to the document displayed in the editor, the following message appears:
SD-Drawing = current document in editor
By using a picklist, the desired SD-Drawing document class can be selected from a list of registered document classes.
Store options:
[Overwrite Current Document]
This button is only activated if the editor contains a document reserved by a user. When this button is selected, the document is overwritten and updated without any further prompts.
[Create New Version]
This button is activated if the editor contains a document. When this button is selected, the document editor is activated. It contains all the current document's data and a new version number. When the [OK] button is pressed, the new document and the drawing are saved, and the change note editor is called. The command can be terminated with the [Cancel] button.
[Create New Document]
When this button is selected, the document editor is activated. The current document is loaded into the editor and the UID attribute fields are cleared. Once the necessary element entries have been made, this command can be confirmed with the [OK] button, or terminated with the [Cancel] button.
[Create New Part and Document]
When this button is selected, the editor is activated to let you create a new part and document. The current document is loaded into the editor and the UID attribute fields are cleared. Once the necessary element entries have been made, this command can be confirmed with the [OK] button, or terminated with the [Cancel] button.
