Set the 3D documentation transfer behavior
A number of options allow you to change the behavior of the transfer process of 3D annotations from Creo Elements/Direct Modeling 3D Documentation to Creo Elements/Direct Annotation. When you first transfer 3D docuplane annotations from 3D Documentation to Creo Elements/Direct Annotation, the 3D annotations will have the content and position as specified in 3D Documentation. Their appearance is determined by the Transfer Appearance setting.
To set the transfer behavior,
1. Click File > Settings > View 2D > Transfer 3D Annos Settings. The Default Settings browser (table) opens with Transfer 3D Annotations settings.
2. In the Value column, double-click the setting you wish to change.
You can change the following setting values:
Transfer during Update
After you have transferred a docuplane to Creo Elements/Direct Annotation, thus creating a view, you can specify that 3D annotations on the docuplane should be transferred automatically when updating the view. Clicking this switch on causes the transfer process to occur immediately after the view is updated. Note that the automatic setting can slow down the update speed of views having many annotations to transfer, therefore this switch is off by default.
Create Reference Geo (100% Transfer)
Create reference geometry for 3D Annotations.
Transfer Content
If set to Off, all content of 3D annotations modified in Creo Elements/Direct Annotation will remain. If set to On, the content of the 3D annotations will be replaced by the 3D Documentation content, and any modifications done in Creo Elements/Direct Annotation will be lost.
Transfer Position
If set to Off, all 3D annotation positions modified in Creo Elements/Direct Annotation will remain. If set to On, thepositions of the 3D annotations will be replaced by the 3D Documentation positions, and any modifications done in Creo Elements/Direct Annotation will be lost.
Transfer Appearance
If set to Off, the appearance of 3D annotations will be determined by the default Creo Elements/Direct Annotation settings for the initial transfer, but the properties for existing 3D annotations will be unchanged. If set to On, the properties of the 3D annotations will be used. In the latter case, any modifications done in Creo Elements/Direct Annotation will be lost.
