Create docuplanes from 2D views
To transfer free annotations, you must first gather them to a docuplane with 3D Documentation. With the 2D to 3D Process command, you can create docuplanes based on 2D views. In the same operation, you can gather to the docuplane all free annotations created and transferred to existing standard views in versions prior to 2007.
To gather free labels to docuplanes,
*
You must first start both 3D Documentation and Creo Elements/Direct Annotation modules to use this command.
1. Click Annotation and then, in the Transfer 3D Doc group, click the arrow next to Docuplane.
2. Click 2D to 3D Process. The 2D -> 3D Process dialog box opens.
3. Click the View for which you wish to create a docuplane, or click All Standard Views.
3D Documentation will create a docuplane for each standard view and gather free 3D Documentation annotations to the docuplanes.
*
Please note that the 2D -> 3D Process command only applies to free annotations that had been transferred to views in Creo Elements/Direct Annotation prior to CoCreate Modeling version 2007.
4. Click to complete the operation.
Now you can use the Transfer DP command to update the 2D views.
Limitations
The 2D -> 3D Process command will not work if:
The view already has a corresponding docuplane.
The view is non-standard.
The view has no 3D representation.
The owner of the view or view-set is read-only.
