Transfer docuplanes
You can transfer docuplanes from 3D Documentation into Creo Elements/Direct Annotation. This creates a new view in 2D showing the 3D view defined by the docuplane.
To transfer a docuplane,
1. Click Annotation and then, in the Transfer 3D Doc group, click the arrow next to Docuplane.
2. Click Transfer DocuPlane. The Transfer Docuplane dialog box opens along with the Docuplanes table displaying all the docuplanes owned by the selected part.
3. If necessary, specify a different Owner part or assembly whose docuplanes you want to consider transferring. All the docuplanes of the specified owner become available for transfer and are displayed in the Docuplanes table. The default selected owner is the last owner specified, or the active part in Creo Elements/Direct Modeling.
4. Click the docuplanes you want to transfer from the Docuplanes table. Select multiple docuplanes by holding down Ctrl while you click them in the table. Click Apply in the table when you are finished.
5. Accept system-generated view profiles, or turn the profile function off.
6. Click .
7. Move the cursor into the Creo Elements/Direct Annotation Viewport.
Creo Elements/Direct Annotation attaches a view placeholder on the cursor.
8. Click the view position on the sheet.
Synchronize docuplanes
Update views without creating a new view when you have modified any of these docuplane properties:
scale
up direction
normal
position of section line on parent view
detail border
name
component list
*
The synchronization will override changes made to these properties in the Creo Elements/Direct Annotation module.
To synchronize a view with a docuplane,
1. Click Annotation and then, in the Transfer 3D Doc group, click Sync to DP. The Synchronize to DP dialog box opens along with the Synchronized Properties table displaying all the properties synchronized with the docuplane.
2. Select Type from the drop-down menu.
3. Click the view, drawing, or sheet you wish to synchronize.
4. Check Display Report to see the Synchronized Properties table This report indicates which properties require synchronization and any properties that cannot be synchronized.
5. Check Update After Synchronize to update the view immediately following synchronization.
6. Click to complete the operation.
