Create drawings from models (Creo Elements/Direct Annotation) > Modify drawings > Add and modify symbols > Modify symbol properties

Modify symbol properties
You can change the settings of existing symbols in your drawing. You can select symbols of one type only, or any types of symbol can be modified in one operation.
To change the properties of existing symbols,
1. Click Annotation and then, in the Annotate group, click the arrow next to Properties.
2. Click Symbol. The Modify Symbol dialog box opens.
3. Click the symbols to modify or use the Select tool to modify multiple symbols.
4. Click Type and select the symbol type to modify from the cascade list.
5. Click a property you want to change, and select or enter a new value as required. The settings are the same as the default properties.
6. Click to complete the operation.
Apply the settings of existing symbols
There are also two options to specify predefined settings:
Grab
You can grab the settings of an existing symbol for use as the selections in the Modify Symbol dialog box. Click Grab and then specify the symbol whose style you want to apply. The fields in the menu are updated to show the selected symbol's settings.
Default
The default settings for symbols (as specified in the Symbol Settings menu) can also be applied when modifying symbols. Click Default to adopt these settings in the menu.
