Change geometry properties with preselection
To change the appearance of existing geometry selecting the geometry in the viewport, right-click and select Geometry Properties from the context menu. You can also select the geometry and click on the Option Mini Toolbar (OMT). This opens Geometry Properties dialog box in which, you can change a number of attributes for the selected geometry.
You can also select and modify view geometry in this way. Any changes made to view geometry are retained after a future update.
To modify geometry properties by preselection,
1. If necessary, set the selection focus to All or Geometry on the Status Bar.
2. In the Creo Elements/Direct Annotation viewport, select the geometry element to modify.
3. Right-click in the viewport, and select Geometry Properties from the context menu. You can also select the geometry element and click on the OMT.
The Geometry Properties dialog box opens, showing the Type of geometry selected and the element's attributes.
4. Change any of the following properties:
Under Appear tab:
Click Color and change the geometry element's color in the Color Selector dialog box.
Select a new Line type from the cascade list.
Under Thickness tab:
Enter a pen size in the Pen Size box.
Enter a line size in the Line Size box.
Click Length to open the Measure dialog box and measure the length of the element.
Click Geo to display detailed information about the geometry in an output box. For example, a view edge may reveal the following:
Geometric Properties:
Type: "Calculated Line"
Vertex 1: -
176.46976188702999,89.025824743841994
Vertex 2: -
230.72444588702999,89.025824743841994
5. To apply the properties of a different geometry element to that selected, click Grab and then select the element whose properties you want to adopt. Its properties are shown in the table and the selected geometry changes accordingly.
6. To apply the default geometry settings to the selected element, click Default. The default properties are shown in the table and the selected geometry changes accordingly.
7. Click Close to close the dialog box when you are finished.
