Create a drawing from a drawing template
After you define a drawing template in Creo Elements/Direct Annotation, it appears in the Template Browser. See Define a drawing template for more information.
You can create a new drawing by applying a drawing template. You can also double-click a template in the Template Browser to create a new drawing for a part.
To create a new drawing using a drawing template,
1. Click Annotations and then, in the Setup group, click New Drawing. The Create Drawing dialog box opens.
2. In the Mode box, select From Template. The Template Browser opens.
3. In the Template Browser, double-click the template. Creo Elements/Direct Annotation loads the template. The Apply Drawing Template dialog box and the 3D VP viewport open.
4. Select the target part in the 3D VP viewport.
5. In the Apply Drawing Template dialog box, define or edit Front Dir and Up Dir for the front and up direction respectively.
