This section describes the tables containing fix text and tolerance values. All the following tables work in the same way:
• Prefix
• Postfix
• Subfix
• Superfix
• All fix texts
• Limit tolerance
• Upper/lower tolerance
• Plus minus tolerance
• All tolerance values
For example, to open a tables:
1. Click Annotation and then, in the Annotate group, click Angular. The Angle Dimension dialog box opens with options.
2. Click Prefix. The Text Editor window opens along with the Prefix table.
The tables offer a number of commands to manipulate the data they contain. Table entries can be filtered over the columns to help you search for particular entries. Rows in a table can be deleted when no longer needed. When you start Creo Elements/Direct Modeling, all the fix text and tolerance values at the default, corporate, site, and user levels are automatically loaded. When you exit Creo Elements/Direct Modeling, the fix text and tolerance values that you have added are automatically saved in the files all_dimension_texts.fix andall_dimension_texts.tol, respectively, in the default, user-level, site or corporate customization directory.
If necessary, you can edit the text displayed in some system-generated columns (for example, the Description column). First exit Creo Elements/Direct Modeling, open the table file in a standard text editor, and make your changes. Start Creo Elements/Direct Modeling and the changes are visible in the table.
Filter table columns
You can control the data displayed in a table by applying filters over the columns.
1. In the table, right-click the heading of the column you want to filter.
The Column Filter dialog box appears.
2. Set filters as required.
The table displays the filtered list of text or values.
To clear filters, follow the instructions above, but click Reset or Reset all filters of table in the Column Filter box.
Delete rows in tables
If a row of data in a table is no longer required, you can delete it. (Note that the fix text or tolerance value is deleted from all fix or tolerance tables.) Creo Elements/Direct Annotation asks for confirmation before deleting a row.
1. In the table, click the unwanted row to highlight it.
2. Click Delete Row.
3. Click Yes in the message box.
The all fix texts table
The All Fix Texts table displays the grouped Prefix, Postfix, Subfix, and Superfix texts. By selecting a row in the table, all fix texts of that entry are used as the current dimension style.
1. Click Annotation and then, in the Annotate group, click Linear, Circular, or Angular. The respective dialog box opens.
2. Click Get All under Dim Fix Texts.
Creo Elements/Direct Annotation displays the All Fix Texts table.
3. Click the row of the table containing the "fix text you require, and click Apply; or double-click the entry.
4. Complete the dimension operation.
Creo Elements/Direct Annotation includes the selected fixes with the dimension text.
The All Fix Texts table behaves identically to the other fix and tolerance tables with respect to saving and loading tables, column filtering, and deleting rows.
