Configure the File Server
This page opens only if you are installing the File Server.
Admin Password: The password you would like to create for Web-based administrative access to the File Server, and for managing the Distributed File Server configuration.
*
By default, a File Server Admin Password is not created. You must always create a password for the File Server. Make sure you write this password down.
Storage Directories: A standard installation has one directory to store files. A custom installation must not have more than one directory per disk drive.
The default file storage directory is:
C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo Elements\Direct Manager Server data\File storage
You may edit the default location. If you expect to have many files or large files in the file storage area, you may want to specify additional storage directories on different disk drives (as a semicolon-separated list).
If you already have files from a previous installation, add those directories to the list.
Previous Storage Directories: Files from the previous storage directory must be in the specified path. The previous default path for Oracle 9i Storage Directories was:
C:\oracle\ora92\oradata\WM\area1
Any existing data remains in the old file storage area.
Neighbors: The fully-qualified domain name for each File Server host computer. You must have a license for each distributed file server location. Leave it blank if you have only one File Server.
Use java file server: A Java-implemented file server which supports more concurrent connections is used.
Enable HTTP file access: HTTP access to the File Server is used in conjunction with the Web Services Server. For example, an InfoPath form may browse the Database or choose a file to download or open. Access to that file is generally provided by a URL to its location on the File Server.
