As of CoCreate Model Manager 2005, any tag that allows a list of items will only accept comma-separated lists. As of CoCreate Model Manager 2006, an exception is the list of servers in <DbServer>, <FileServer>, or <LicenseServer>, which are expected to be space-separated.
In general, tags requiring a fully qualified Java class name should not be added to a custom xml and left empty.
Concepts:
Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager 20.6 installation directory
Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager 20.6 installs in C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo Elements\Direct Model and Drawing Manager 20.6.
Previous installations utilized a Shared directory, which is no longer used.
Web Services
Information on setting up your Web Services customization environment, building a Web Service, and deploying your custom Web Service has been added.
You can customize the settings for your Web Services by adding the CustomServiceControllerConfig.xml file containing your customizations.
Because of functionality changes in the Web Services, the InfoPath Lab has been removed.
*
With Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager 17.0, the WebServicesServer.ini file is obsolete and is replaced by ServiceControllerConfig.xml.
With Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager 18.0, the com.osm.webservices.notificationhandler.EventNotificationHandler implementation is replaced by com.osm.services.transaction.TransactionListenerProcessor
Task Agent
The JOB_SCHEDULE class now has a JOB_SEQUENCE attribute which is used to order jobs such that they are executed in the order in which they were created in the database.
Netbeans 11.0
Creo Elements/Direct has switched to Netbeans 11.0. All of the customization labs have been updated to use Netbeans 11.0.
To create the NetBeans customization setup on Windows 11 or Windows 10, you need to do one of the following:
Turn off the User Account Control (UAC).
Give yourself "Full Control" on the Creo Elements/Direct Manager Server 20.6 directory (and all subdirectories and files).
Run NetBeans as an administrator (right-click and click Run as administrator).
Additional Customizations
Customize Creo Elements/Direct Modeling's Model Manager menu
The complete list of command keys has been updated for 17.0.
The keyword MM_CHANGE_LOAD_TYPE has been added to the menu customization capability. (15.00)
Add pseudo attributes to send to Creo Elements/Direct Drafting
Pseudo attributes can be used to map old localized attribute names to new English attribute names.
Customize the Number Generator List
Instructions for customizing the list presented if you have a number generator attached to both a Masterdata Name and a Model Name.
