Task Agent is a Creo Elements/Direct Manager Server extension for batch processing. You can create Job schedules (tasks) interactively with the Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager client or automatically with a transaction listener on the server (triggered by state changes). Job schedules are stored in a database table and processed by the Job Schedule Processor, a service running in a separate process. It checks the table periodically for jobs that are ready for execution, then sends them to the Job Spooler according to free job execution resources. The Job Spooler has one or more Job Servers configured and assigns the job to the Job Server with the smallest current load.

Jobs are executed according to their priority. Jobs with the same priority are executed in the order in which they were created in the database.
