Save Modified
You can improve save performance when you save with Save Modified. Use Save Modified when you're working with a large structure in Creo Elements/Direct Modeling and you've only made minor changes to your model.
When you Save Modified, you save only the items that are new or modified in your current Creo Elements/Direct Modeling session. Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager automatically determines which items to save by comparing the status of models and assemblies in your current Creo Elements/Direct Modeling session to the versions that are already saved in the database. This way, you can leverage the complex structures that already exist in your database when you save only the new parent assembly that contains the unmodified sub-assemblies.
Unlike Save 3D, if you save a sub-assembly as a new version with Save Modified, its parent is not also saved as a new version. After you Save Modified, Creo Elements/Direct Modeling identifies the parent as modified because the structure in Creo Elements/Direct Modeling no longer matches the As Stored structure in the database.
To Save Modified,
1. In Creo Elements/Direct Modeling, click > > . Alternatively, right-click a model or assembly, and select Save Modified. The Save dialog box opens.
2. In the Save dialog box, Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager only displays items that you added or modified during your Creo Elements/Direct Modeling session, As with Save 3D, you can
◦ Choose a Save Type for each item being saved.
◦ Use Search, Filter, and the column headers to sort, view, and filter your view of parts and assemblies.
◦ Modify the Major Rev or Minor Rev, and add Change Notes for individual items.
3. Click Save.
