Tasks
Tasks allow you to schedule certain actions to occur once (now or later) or regularly (daily, or weekly at a specified time).
You can schedule the following Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager actions:
Automated Clash Analysis

A Clash Analysis definition is created in Creo Elements/Direct Modeling, and saved to Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager as a child object to the parent assembly.
You create a task in Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager which updates the Clash Analysis based on the current state of the models in the database. The result of a clash analysis (XML file) is added to the object.
3D Native Format Generation

You can schedule a task to convert your model or assembly to another 3D native format. Each output format is defined in its own xml file. See the Customization Guide for more information. Supported formats are:
CATIA V4
Creo Elements/Direct Modeling
I-DEAS
Parasolid, including SolidWorks, SolidEdge, and NX
Creo Elements/Pro
NX
If you check Save result files to database, Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager stores the generated files as attachments to the original model or assembly.
You can receive the 3D formats in an e-mail by checking E-mail result files to. Your e-mail address automatically displays. You can type multiple e-mail addresses, but you must separate them with semicolons.
3D Standard Format Generation

You can schedule a task to convert your model or assembly to another 3D standard format. Each output format is defined in its own xml file. Supported formats are:
