Manage Tasks
The Creo Elements/Direct Task Agent schedules tasks to be executed by the Job Server.
A task may be executed only once, or can be scheduled to execute on a recurring basis. You can schedule:
Clash Analysis. A clash analysis is a clash check that you create in Creo Elements/Direct Modeling and save with an assembly.
3D Native Format Generation. You select a native format to which you want to convert your model or assembly.
3D Standard Format Generation. You select a standard format to which you want to convert your model or assembly.
3D Viewing Format Generation. You select a viewing format to which you want to convert your model or assembly.
2D Format Generation. You define possible output formats and whether those outputs should be generated by default in the DraftingConversion.xml file.
Plotting drawings. You select one or more drawings or a Masterdata containing drawings.
In the Admin tab, click Tasks to open the All Tasks panel. From here you can see:

Click All Tasks to show all scheduled tasks for all owners. A task may have a State of:
Ready
Preparing for execution
Executing
Successfully completed
Error
Job Queue
 
Click Job Queue to show all jobs that are currently running in the Job Spooler’s job queue. A job may have a Status of:
Ready for Execution
Initializing
Starting
Failed to Start
Running
Finished
Killed
Failed
To re-run a job that failed to execute, select it from the Job Queue and click Execute Again.
Job Servers
 
Click Job Servers to show the status of the Job Servers managed by your Job Spooler.
To add a Job Server,
1. Install the Job Server. You can find the installation instructions in the Creo Elements/Direct Manager Server Installation Guide, Install Job Server.
2. Click Add Job Server.
a. Type the hostname of the computer where you installed the Job Server.
b. Type the port number, if different from the default port of 8897.
The Job Spooler Status panel displays current information about the Job Spooler.

Job Spooler 20.6 requires Job Server 20.6, and Job Server 20.6 requires Creo Elements/Direct 20.6 products (such as Creo Elements/Direct Modeling, Creo Elements/Direct Drafting, Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager, and Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager.
If you don't have Creo Elements/Direct20.6 products installed on the same machine as your Job Server, the Job Server reports a status of Unavailable in the Job Server All Tasks in the Admin tab.
