Assign numbers automatically
Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager can automatically number your model, Masterdata (physical part), or drawing names.
Automatically assign a number
1. Create a number generator with your desired features.
How?
2. On theNumber Generator Management page, select the number generator from the list.
3. Right-click the number generator and, in the shortcut menu click Assign. The Assign Number Generator To Class dialog box opens.
4. In the Assign Number Generator To Class dialog box, select from the following classes:
◦ MODEL_3D to assign the number generator to Model names.
◦ DRAWING_2D to assign the number generator to Drawing names.
◦ MASTERDATA to assign the number generator to Masterdata names.
5. Click OK.
