Create BOM flags and tables
A BOM table uses BOM flags to create a list of the overall structure of a drawing. The BOM flags provide numbered correlations between the table and specific parts on the drawing.
To create BOM position flags:
1. From BOM Editor, click the Consolidated Report tab.
2. Click File > Send To > Drafting. Alternatively, click the arrow next to Send To and, click Creo Elements/Direct Drafting. A grey box will appear at the bottom of the viewport in Creo Elements/Direct Drafting.
3. Attach numbers that correlate between the table and the drawing. Click the highlighted area in the drawing and drag the flag from the drawing. When finished, click the End button from the right-hand menu in Creo Elements/Direct Drafting.
4. Once you have placed the first BOM flag, the table will automatically proceed to the next part on the BOM table until you have labeled your entire drawing.
To create and replace a BOM table:
1. In order to create a BOM table, you must have already created BOM position flags.
2. In Creo Elements/Direct Drafting, click File > Drawing Manager > BOM > Table to Drawing.
3. Position the table on the drawing and click to complete.
4. To replace the BOM table, repeat steps 2 and 3.
