Search for XVL or eDrawing files
With Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager, you can generate and save XVL® and eDrawings™ files from Creo Elements/Direct Modeling, from the Creo Elements/Direct Task Agent, or you can import external XVL and eDrawings files from a local file system into your Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager database.
To search for XVL or eDrawings files you generated from Creo Elements/Direct Modeling or from the Creo Elements/Direct Task Agent,
1. Open the Workspace window.
2. Click the Search tab.
3. In the What do you want to search for? list, select the type of data (Masterdata, model, or drawing) with which your XVL or eDrawings files are associated.
4. The remaining fields are dynamically updated to reflect the information stored for the type of data you select.
5. Type your search string(s) in the field(s) you would like to search. You may use the asterisk (*) or question mark (?) as a wildcard character.
6. Click Search.
7. Once you've located the associated Masterdata, model, or drawing, open your item's Attachments and locate your XVL or eDrawings files.
To search for XVL or eDrawings files you imported,
1. Open the Workspace window.
2. Click the Search tab.
3. In the What do you want to search for? list, select the type of data, XVL or eDrawings, for which you want to search.
4. The remaining fields are dynamically updated to reflect the information stored for the type of data you select.
5. Type your search string(s) in the field(s) you would like to search. You may use the asterisk (*) or question mark (?) as a wildcard character.
6. Click Search.

You can also use the XVL or eDrawings options in the Search tab to locate any XVL or eDrawings files you saved to your database prior to the release of version 15.50 of CoCreate Drawing Manager.
